Confirmed
Available evidence supports the finding.
Example: AHU-2 runs in occupied mode overnight on 23 of 28 nights in trend history.
Your building engineer’s AI assistant
Many BMS installations are incomplete, insufficiently commissioned or underused. Gustave finds out where yours stands, then stays connected as your engineers’ AI colleague: spotting issues, explaining why, and learning from every fix.

The problem
Gaps in BMS configuration and commissioning can leave setpoints drifting, overrides in place and equipment operating inefficiently. Engineers spend much of their day responding to alarms, leaving little time to analyse trends or spot issues that never trigger an alarm. They may also lack the specialist support needed to investigate what the data shows.
And when key team members leave, what they know about the building goes with them.

Meet Gustave
Gustave starts with a diagnosis of your BMS, then stays connected to work alongside your engineers. Bring it a symptom, a suspicion or a pattern, and it works through the data with you to find likely causes and what to check on site.
“Zone 4 complaints about heat in the afternoon.”
“I think the chilled water valve on AHU-2 isn’t closing fully.”
“Why does Chiller 3 short-cycle every afternoon?”
“Replaced the actuator on AHU-2 today.”
How it works

Gustave connects to your BMS with read-only access and reviews points, alarms, schedules, setpoints and trends alongside available as-builts and sequences. It identifies what is working, what needs attention, and where information is missing or incomplete. Every finding is linked to its supporting evidence.
Gustave then stays connected. Work through the diagnosis findings together, or bring it new symptoms and suspicions as they arise. It analyses relevant trends, identifies likely causes and useful site checks, and helps engineers turn confirmed findings into prioritised actions. It shows energy and cost impacts where the available data supports them.
Engineers and technicians record what they find, fix or change by voice or text in English, Arabic or Hindi. Gustave organises each update into the building's history. After work is completed, it compares new BMS data with the original findings to show whether the issue has cleared or returned. Each update builds context for future diagnosis.
Optional GMF engineering service
GMF can develop remedial designs or detailed scopes of work, then support implementation by contractors appointed by the owner. This optional engineering service is scoped and priced separately based on the findings.
Team updates
Technicians log work in English, Arabic or Hindi. Gustave turns every update into an organised, asset-linked record, so the building’s history doesn’t depend on who is on shift or who has moved on.
Technicians can speak or type an update in English, Arabic or Hindi to record completed maintenance, a repair, an issue or a change. Gustave prepares the entry in English for the shared record and engineer review.
Gustave turns each update into a structured entry, linked to the relevant asset, date and category.
Each update adds to the building’s record. Gustave can prepare reports, such as summaries of logged repairs by asset or category, and help identify patterns across buildings under the same management or ownership.
Gustave brings the team’s growing operational history together with available BMS data, helping engineers understand what has changed, investigate recurring issues and make better-informed decisions over time.
Clear findings. Clear limits.
Each finding is rated by the strength of its evidence. As the engineering team verifies findings on site and adds their observations, Gustave updates each rating to reflect what the evidence now shows.
Available evidence supports the finding.
Example: AHU-2 runs in occupied mode overnight on 23 of 28 nights in trend history.
Data suggests a problem, but the engineer should check it on site.
Example: Supply air sensor reads 4 °C above its neighbours. Verify sensor and point mapping.
Information needed for the analysis is missing.
Example: Only six days of chiller trends are available. Collect more trend data across representative operating conditions.
Equipment is not connected to the BMS, so Gustave cannot assess it with BMS data.
Example: Domestic hot water plant has no BMS points. Consider monitoring or a site inspection.
For owners & asset managers
Gustave helps your engineering team reduce avoidable energy use, improve comfort and keep building operations reliable. Clear findings, likely causes and estimated impacts show you what needs attention, where to spend and whether the work made a difference.

What’s working, what isn’t and where information is missing, all backed by evidence.
Prioritised, evidence-based findings, with energy, cost and carbon impacts where the data supports them, help you decide where to spend and define the work clearly.
After work is completed, new BMS data is compared with the original findings.
Its operational history stays in place through staff and contractor changes, and can be compared across your portfolio.

The third-floor office area is too warm in the evenings. Help me investigate.Gustave
Zone temperatures rise after 8 p.m. on weekdays. AHU-3, which serves this floor, switches to its unoccupied schedule at 8 p.m., but lighting and small power loads stay high, which suggests the space is still in use. Check the schedule against how the floor is used.Engineer

Finding confirmed and recorded against AHU-3. I’ll compare zone temperatures over the coming week to check whether the issue has cleared.Engineer in control
Gustave supports the engineering team’s investigation and planning. Engineers review the findings, the owner decides whether to proceed, and the work is carried out by the in-house team or appointed contractors.
Gustave reads BMS data. It cannot write to the system.
Gustave does not change BMS settings or operate building equipment.
BMS findings and team updates build a lasting operational history that belongs to your organisation.
No BMS replacement required. Gustave connects through a supported interface suited to your site.
Deploy your way
Choose how Gustave runs based on your site’s connectivity, IT and security requirements.
Runs in the cloud and connects securely to your existing BMS over your site’s internet connection. Quick to set up, always up to date, with a view across your portfolio.
Best for portfolios and sites with reliable connectivity.
Runs entirely within your building, with no internet connection needed. BMS monitoring, investigation and building records all stay on site.
Best for sites with limited connectivity or strict security requirements, such as government and critical buildings.
FAQ
Yes. Gustave doesn’t replace your BMS. It connects to the system already installed through a supported read-only interface. It’s designed for a wide range of BMS platforms; we assess compatibility first and confirm the connection approach for each building.
Gustave stays connected. Your engineering team can investigate new issues, record work by voice or text, and check whether fixes have held, with every update adding to the building’s history.
Gustave Online runs in the cloud over your site’s internet connection. Gustave Box runs entirely within your building, with no internet connection needed. We’ll recommend the right option based on your connectivity, IT and security requirements.
Your BMS data and the operational records created in Gustave belong to your organisation. Gustave reads BMS data through a read-only connection and cannot change BMS settings. Your records remain available to you if the service ends.
Technicians can record updates by voice or text in English, Arabic or Hindi. Gustave prepares each entry in English for the shared record and engineer review.
Upload the design information available. Gustave identifies assumptions and flags where the engineer should verify the installed condition. As your team confirms details on site, they become part of the building’s record.
Gustave can identify a coverage gap, but assessing that equipment’s performance requires other data, measurements or a site inspection.
No. Gustave supports your engineering team’s investigation and planning. The owner decides whether to proceed, and the work is carried out by your team or appointed contractors.
Start with a diagnosis of your BMS and connected systems. Then keep Gustave alongside your engineering team, investigating issues, recording maintenance and confirming the work made a difference.
